Hello lovelies!
I've rejoined this tribe after being being gone almost 2 years. Nine months of pregnancy and 15 months of non-cycling afterwards, and here i am back at the door of the tent asking for advice.
My post-partum bleeding is of a very different quality than my pre-baby life, and i need new ways of dealing with it. I used to use cloth pads and that worked perfectly for my moderate, 4-5 day period. Now i have a truncated 3 day affair but for about half that time the bleeding is so heavy that i'm going through a pad+tampon combo every hour and a half. I can used the cloth pads for the beginning time only, and i was wondering what women think about the different disposable products since that's what i'm stuck with.
I've been getting Natracare or 7th generation non-bleached products since that's the last place in the world i want bleach. Does anyone have a product they like better?

Re: disposable products?
Thu, March 13, 2008 - 8:04 PMI'd say those are your best options.
I guess it depends on if you are at home or "on the go".
Also perhaps try doubling up on inserts in the cloth pads.
I've found that I have that "gotta go" feeling right before a large bit comes out, so I can get to a potty b/f soiling my pad.
I've just gotten to the point where I can't put anything inside, too much pain.
We all have to move away from the tent for a bit. :) -

Re: disposable products?
Fri, March 14, 2008 - 7:58 AMUnfortunately i'm on the go, and not always in a position to hit the potty at my convenience. I've tried using multiple inserts and it's just not enough.
Hee- i'm cloth diapering my son, we use doublers for those "heavy" times with him too :-P -
